About the Role
Site based role on a large new Hydropower Project in Nepal working for an international engineering consultancy. Run-of-River type hydroelectric project with optimized generating capacity of 1061 MW capacity
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in construction management or law or other relevant discipline.
• More than 20 years of general experience in detailed engineering design/ construction supervision of hydropower projects.
• Experience in preparation of tender documents of successfully completed hydropower projects at least 500 MW.
• Experience in preparation of tender document of hydropower project (500 MW or more) based on internationally used contracts, such as FIDIC or SPD of the World Bank or another MDB.
• Experience in construction supervision of hydropower projects (500 MW or more).
• International (outside home country experience) within Asian Region (500 MW or more).
• Fluent in English.
Job Description:
• Review bidding documents from contractual viewpoint
• Support UAHEL in running entire bid management proceed through selection and negotiation of each contact package from the contractual viewpoint
• Supervise all works of construction from the contractual viewpoint
• Record events leading to delay in construction activities
• Execute skills transfer programs for UAHEL personnel during construction stage
• Maintain records documenting decisions made at meetings, progress of project implementation and changes to contract plans

Salary: Subject Negotiable. This is a site-based position with annual home trips (1-2) with site allowance + accident insurance.
