Job Description:
We are seeking a Design Engineering Manager to lead the engineering design team for major civil infrastructure projects in Germany. The role involves managing the design process, ensuring technical accuracy, compliance with standards, and timely delivery of engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
– Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams across all project phases
– Oversee the development and review of engineering designs, calculations, and technical documentation
– Ensure compliance with German and European codes, regulations, and client requirements
– Collaborate closely with project management, construction, and quality teams
– Drive continuous improvement and innovation within the design function
– Lead design reviews, risk assessments, and constructability analyses
Requirements:
– 10+ years of experience in civil engineering design management
– Strong knowledge of German and European civil infrastructure design standards (e.g., Eurocodes)
– Proven experience managing multidisciplinary design teams on large infrastructure projects
– Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
– Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
– Proficiency with design software and BIM tools is an advantage
