Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Manager specializing in High Voltage Substation projects within the Oil and Gas sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all electrical construction activities, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Execution
· Develop comprehensive project plans for HV Substation construction, considering project scope, timelines, and resource requirements.
· Oversee the execution of electrical construction activities, ensuring alignment with project specifications and quality standards.
Team Leadership
· Lead, mentor, and manage a multidisciplinary team of electrical engineers, contractors, and technicians.
· Foster a collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork and effective communication.
Resource Management
· Allocate and manage resource sufficiently, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
· Optimize resource utilization to achieve project milestones within budget and schedule.
Quality Assurance
· Establish and implement robust quality control processes to maintain high construction standards.
· Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance with project specifications and industry regulations.
Budget and Cost Control
· Monitor project budgets and expenditures, identifying cost-saving opportunities and preventing overruns.
· Provide regular financial reports and updates to senior management.
Stakeholder Engagement
· Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including engineering teams, clients, and regulatory authorities.
· Maintain open lines of communication to address concerns, provide project updates, and ensure alignment with project goals.
Safety Management
· Promote and enforce a strong safety culture, ensuring all construction activities comply with safety regulations and guidelines.
· Conduct regular safety meetings, training sessions, and inspections.
Qualifications and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
· Proven experience in managing electrical construction projects, specifically in High Voltage Substations within the Oil and Gas industry.
· Previous ADNOC Projects is preferrable.
· Strong understanding of electrical systems, substation design, and construction methodologies.
· Knowledge of relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations.
· Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
