Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Department Head to lead the environmental division within a civil engineering organization in Germany. The role involves managing environmental impact assessments, compliance, and sustainability initiatives across infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
– Provide strategic leadership and management of the environmental department
– Oversee environmental assessments, permitting, and regulatory compliance
– Develop and implement sustainability and environmental management programs
– Coordinate multidisciplinary teams on environmental and civil engineering projects
– Liaise with regulatory authorities, clients, and stakeholders
– Ensure integration of environmental considerations into project planning and execution
Requirements:
– 10+ years of experience in environmental management within civil engineering or infrastructure sectors
– Strong knowledge of German environmental regulations and EU directives
– Proven leadership and team management skills
– Degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field
– Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder engagement skills
