Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Project Director or Technical Manager to lead the delivery of major transportation infrastructure projects in Tunisia. The role involves technical oversight, project coordination, and stakeholder engagement to ensure successful execution in accordance with international standards, budget, and schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
– Provide strategic direction and technical leadership across all phases of project development
– Oversee detailed engineering, procurement, and construction activities
– Ensure compliance with project specifications, national regulations, and international best practices
– Coordinate with local authorities, consultants, and contractors to maintain project alignment
– Manage project risks, monitor progress, and implement corrective measures when necessary
– Lead multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior engineers and technical staff
Requirements:
– 15+ years of experience in civil infrastructure or transportation project delivery
– Strong background in technical design, project execution, and multidisciplinary coordination
– Familiarity with international engineering codes and FIDIC contract conditions
– Proven leadership in managing large-scale, donor-funded, or government infrastructure projects
– Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline; postgraduate qualifications in project management or transportation engineering are preferred
– Fluent in English; knowledge of French or Arabic is an asset
