Job Description:
We are seeking a seasoned Port Expert to provide technical leadership for the design, construction, and maintenance of port infrastructure projects in Guinea. The role focuses on delivering resilient and efficient port structures compliant with international standards and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
– Lead design review and approval of port structures including wharves, jetties, and quay walls
– Conduct structural assessments and provide engineering solutions for port facilities
– Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on geotechnical, structural, and marine engineering aspects
– Ensure compliance with Guinea’s regulations and international maritime infrastructure standards
– Provide technical support during construction and oversee quality assurance processes
– Liaise with government authorities, contractors, and stakeholders throughout project lifecycle
Requirements:
– 10+ years of experience in port and maritime infrastructure engineering
– Strong knowledge of structural analysis and design software relevant to port projects
– Familiarity with international port design codes and local regulatory requirements
– Proven experience managing large-scale port infrastructure projects
– Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; professional registration is advantageous
– Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
