Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Rail Expert to support the development and implementation of metro and rail projects in Tanzania. The role involves providing technical expertise in rail systems, design, and operations, ensuring projects meet international standards and local requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
– Provide technical leadership on rail systems design, construction, and commissioning
– Advise on rail infrastructure integration, signaling, and rolling stock compatibility
– Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, structural, and electrical engineers
– Ensure compliance with Tanzanian regulations and international rail standards
– Support project planning, risk management, and quality assurance processes
– Engage with government agencies, contractors, and stakeholders to facilitate project delivery
Requirements:
– 15+ years of experience in rail infrastructure and metro/rail projects
– Proven expertise in rail systems engineering, operations, and project management
– Familiarity with African rail sector challenges and regulatory environments is preferred
– Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
– Degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering related to rail systems
