Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Engineering Geologist to provide expert geological support for major energy infrastructure projects in Australia. The role involves conducting site investigations, geological assessments, and risk analyses to inform design and construction decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
– Lead geological site investigations and interpret subsurface conditions
– Assess geological hazards and provide recommendations for mitigation
– Collaborate with geotechnical, civil, and environmental teams during project phases
– Prepare detailed geological reports, maps, and technical documentation
– Support design development and construction monitoring with geological expertise
– Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities
Requirements:
– 10+ years of experience as an engineering geologist, preferably in energy or infrastructure projects
– Strong knowledge of geological investigation techniques and geohazard assessment
– Familiarity with Australian geological and environmental regulations
– Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, or related field; advanced qualifications preferred
– Excellent analytical, communication, and teamwork skills
