Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Team Lead or Head of Department to lead a civil engineering division within a prominent infrastructure organization in Germany. This leadership role involves managing technical teams, driving project delivery excellence, and fostering innovation and professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
– Provide strategic leadership and direction to the civil engineering department
– Manage project portfolios, ensuring successful delivery on time, budget, and quality
– Mentor and develop engineering teams to enhance skills and performance
– Oversee resource planning, budgeting, and departmental administration
– Ensure compliance with German and European engineering standards and regulations
– Collaborate with senior management and external stakeholders on business development and project execution
Requirements:
– 12+ years of experience in civil engineering, with at least 5 years in leadership roles
– Proven track record in managing multidisciplinary engineering teams and complex projects
– Strong knowledge of German infrastructure standards and regulatory environment
– Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline; advanced qualifications are a plus
– Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
– Fluency in English and German preferred
