Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Tunnel Expert to support major transportation infrastructure projects across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The role will focus on providing technical leadership for the planning, design, and execution of road and rail tunnels, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency in challenging environments.
Key Responsibilities:
– Lead technical design reviews and construction oversight of tunnels using NATM, TBM, and cut-and-cover methods
– Coordinate with geotechnical, structural, and civil teams to integrate tunneling solutions into overall infrastructure plans
– Ensure compliance with international and regional codes and KSA regulations
– Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for tunneling challenges
– Support procurement and contractor evaluation related to tunnel works
– Interface with government stakeholders, consultants, and contractors to resolve technical issues
Requirements:
– 15+ years of experience in tunnel engineering for civil/transportation infrastructure projects
– Proven expertise in tunnel design and construction supervision on large-scale projects
– Familiarity with tunneling conditions and regulatory frameworks in the Middle East
– Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
– Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering; advanced qualifications in tunneling are a plus
– Proficiency with tunnel design tools and analysis software
