Job Description:
We are seeking a Tunnel Lead to oversee tunneling operations for major metro and rail projects in Israel. The role involves managing tunnel design, construction, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, timely, and quality delivery of tunnel works in complex urban environments.
Key Responsibilities:
– Lead the planning, design review, and construction supervision of metro and rail tunnels
– Coordinate with geotechnical, structural, and civil engineering teams to resolve technical challenges
– Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and international best practices
– Manage contractor performance and site activities related to tunneling
– Support risk management and develop mitigation strategies for tunneling risks
– Liaise with government agencies, consultants, and stakeholders throughout project phases
Requirements:
– 15+ years of experience in tunnel engineering for metro or rail infrastructure projects
– Proven expertise in tunneling methods including TBM, NATM, and cut-and-cover techniques
– Familiarity with Israeli regulatory frameworks and urban tunneling challenges
– Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
– Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering; advanced tunneling qualifications are advantageous
