Job Description:
We are seeking a Tunnel Package Lead to oversee the planning, design, and execution of tunnel packages for major metro and rail projects in Israel. The role requires coordination of multidisciplinary teams and contractors to ensure timely, safe, and high-quality delivery of tunneling works in complex urban environments.
Key Responsibilities:
– Lead the management and coordination of tunnel design and construction packages
– Oversee compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and project specifications
– Collaborate with geotechnical, structural, and civil engineering teams to resolve technical issues
– Monitor contractor performance and progress on tunnel works
– Support risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for tunneling activities
– Liaise with government agencies, consultants, and stakeholders throughout project delivery
Requirements:
– 15+ years of experience in tunnel engineering and package management for metro or rail infrastructure
– Expertise in tunneling methods including TBM, NATM, and cut-and-cover
– Familiarity with Israeli regulatory frameworks and urban tunneling challenges
– Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
– Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering; advanced tunneling qualifications are advantageous
